For whatever reason -- maybe it was having yesterday off, or maybe it was the summer heat in Southside Virginia -- the P-Rays weren't as sharp as we've seen from them lately.
Danville starting pitcher Matt Crim baffled the Princeton lineup, Luis Avilan finished up, and the P-Rays could muster only five hits as their seven-game losing streak came to an end.

Princeton falls to three full games back of Danville for first place in the Appalachian League Eastern Division.
